Introduction: I am a product designer, a full-stack programmer and a multimedia artist, specializing in prototyping and building websites and apps for entrepreneurs and fast-growth companies. My background ranges from leading a product team for a top global media and advertising company in New York to a CEO, designer & developer of an internet start-up, Delightfully, that I launched in 2012 with my two co-founders from MIT. Recent projects include the following: - Alevra, a responsive e-commerce website to promote and sell gluten free baking products (alevraglutenfree.com) - Santo Construction, a responsive website & photography to promote a construction company in the Boston area (santoconstruction.com) - 365 Cycles (formerly Advanced Cyclist), a large-scale e-commerce site selling over over 75,000 bike and bike part products (365cycles.com) Past work for startups and in-house corporate software include: - Vibe (consultant), a web app for helping people find a rental apartment or sublet that they love. It focused on the human element of connecting with compatible roommates, neighborhood, while alleviating many of the stressful aspects of securing a place to live - Contract Local (consultant), an app for helping home owners get started and manage their construction projects. It helps support people with the emotional aspects of building or remodeling their home, budget and plan realistically and connect them with contractors who are best suited to their personal preferences and needs. - Delightfully (co-founder), a patent-pending platform, with an app and e-commerce site plugin that brings people closer together by providing an interactive, personal way to give and receive gifts online, using their own photos (MassChallenge finalist, TiE Challenge winner, Lean Startup Challenge winner) - SMAK (consultant), a messaging platform that helps people manage emails, social media contacts and messages in one place, based on "LifeModes" (MassChallenge finalist, acquired by PowerInbox) - Corporate intranet and extranet serving over 20,000 users and 96 countries, many with unique micro-sites -- spearheaded site management training for marketing, communications, technology, research and media planning teams across North America, Europe, and Asia - Developing a proprietary private video-sharing platform to integrate with global intranet and extranet sites - Designing and developing proprietary blogging software for conducting qualitative research Currently, I am most interested in designing empathy-driven user experiences and helping companies leverage technology to deepen their connection with customers.
