FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Friends started to come to me with questions, sending me their papers to look over, asking for help developing an idea, asking if I'd write up a review or an article. Eventually a good friend gave me the proverbial head smack and said, "Hey, you should be getting paid for this!" You don't say!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A client wanted to put together a booklet for her graduate school reunion with content specific to their experience. I loved the whole process: essentially interviewing her about her history there, planning out the overall look and feel as well as developing each section, working with her writing as well as researching and creating pieces on my own. We collaborated to produce a cohesive, attractive, professional and also personal booklet that she was proud to share with her former classmates.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Give me as many details as possible in your proposal. The more information I have, the easier it is for me to assess your needs, match them to my skills, and offer you an accurate picture of the service I can provide.
