Boston Portrait Shop

Boston Portrait Shop is a small photography venture studio founded and managed by Edward and Jia. A common passion and extensive training in photography brought this brother and sister together which culminated into an online portrait shop based in Boston and New York City. We provide affordable portrait services specifically catered to your personal needs in both digital and medium-format film. We are extremely selective in the quality of our work and strive to deliver a professional-grade portrait service without breaking your bank. One of main reasons we do photography is the opportunity to interact with our clients. We like to set up a meeting before the actual photoshoot to discuss about clients' preference and taste. We will brainstorm about strategies to get great images. After our initial meeting, we will visit the site of photoshoot in advance to get the creative juice flowing. During this time, we take sample pictures and send them to clients. We like to keep an active dialog with our clients until the day of shoot. We normally aim to have our photoshoot for 1.5 to 2 hours. This is the moment when you become the main focus of our work. Our primary goal is to make you look stunning. The photoshoot session is relaxed, collaborative, and fun. Don't worry if you don't have much experience with photoshoots. We'll guide you through each step of the session! After the photoshoot, photos are post-processed with Photoshop and other necessary softwares. Our shop is also equipped with pro quality photo-printers. We provide affordable photo printing and framing services. Everyone sees the world through a different lens. Our utmost attraction in photography comes from the fact that a camera gives us the ability to either enhance or completely change the way people perceive. In our work, the ultimate say, of course, comes from our clients. The most exciting part of our work involves a conversation/interaction we have with our clients before and during the shoot. Through photography, we help our clients to freeze the time, frame that notable moment, and tell that special story for generations to come. Our clients provide us with a subject, and we help to tell a story. We thoroughly enjoy the process of creating those stories and help delivering them.
