Private Piano Lessons with Juliana

Introduction: I teach students of all ages piano technique, basic music theory skills, and the joy of making music! Because of my diverse training, I am able to customize lessons to suit whatever a student may want. For those seeking a traditional introduction to the basics of piano, I utilize Alfred's Basic Piano Library. For those who are more interested in learning to play contemporary music and/or accompaniments that your friends can sing along to, I take a more theory-based approach, focusing on scales and chords and ultimately teaching students to improvise and read lead sheets. Although I am an advanced pianist, my main instrument is voice; I am a classically trained soprano majoring in Voice Performance and Music Education at Ithaca College.
