- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are Experienced, Professional and Affordable. As such our pricing we provide will always be competitive with other quality DJ and Karaoke music providers. Our pricing is "all inclusive," there are no additional charges for travel time, set-up and breakdown fees, custom playlists etc. and basic dance floor lighting. We will provide one price that encompasses all details discussed and agreed upon with no hidden or surprise charges. We may recommend add-ons, additional lighting packages for example, but we will be clear upfront with how much any additional charges will be so that you can make that decision.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process typically starts with a phone call to discuss your needs and desires. During this initial call we will talk about the venue, the number of expected guests, the duration of the event and details about the event and your overall expectations regarding emcee and hosting requests, the agenda as well as any programming requests such as music genres, guest song requests etc. At this time we can also discuss add-ons such as lighting packages. Once these details have been determined we will provide you with a package price that will cover all details and we will make arrangements to secure a deposit and the booking agreement. Upon receipt of the booking agreement and deposit we will then set up a time (if desired) to visit the venue with you (if possible) to discuss our setup needs (location of power outlets, room size, ambient lighting) and the layout of the venue and the dance floor. We can also discuss color schemes at this time and determine what additional lighting options you may want. We also will have a preliminary discussion about desired music, genres, artists, no-play songs, introduction songs, first-dance/last-dance songs, etc. Finally, within a week of the event we will have a final conversation to firm up any last minute details as well as confirmation of our arrival time and the targeted time for us to be ready to go which typically is 30 minutes prior to the anticipated arrival of the first guest. Final payment is collected via cash, check or venmo after we are set up but prior to the start of the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The DJ was an on-air DJ and DJ for hire in college and currently works at a local radio station. The owner of the business has spent many years in the restaurant and hospitality industries and has lots of creative ideas to share and experience with planning large scale events. Prior to officially forming One Love Entertainment the team spent several years perfecting their craft by entertaining friends and family at various parties, non-profit fundraising events and private social club parties for DJ Music, Karaoke and Music Bingo.
