FAQs
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Research has demonstrated that in addition to "feeling good," massage releases muscle tension, shortens the healing time of an injury, allows more nutrients and oxygen to reach the body's cellular tissue. Receiving a massage can also helps release endorphins (the body's natural painkillers), demonstrated from research by the Touch Research Institute and that massage therapy increases natural killer cells (enhancing the immune system's functioning). Knowing the human body heals best when relaxed, I often begin my sessions with Relaxation (Swedish) Massage to induce the body's innate relaxation response. Gradually, Deep Tissue techniques are applied and therapeutic edges are gently approached for adjusting chronically shortened muscles, breaking-up fibrous muscle adhesions and enhancing the range of motion in the major joints of the body.
