FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A 50% booking fee is required to hold the dates for any filming or editing work. The hourly rates listed on my profile are a rough estimate; videography typically costs a bit more per hour, especially if it entails travel, and video editing typically costs less per hour. Because there are so many factors at play, I prefer to agree on a flat rate on a per-project basis to avoid any confusion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a certificate in Screenwriting from the UCLA School of TFT Professional Program. I've taken film, screenwriting, and film production courses at the college level at Vassar College, Columbia University, and Bennington College. I'm also a Blackmagic Design Certified Colorist in DaVinci Resolve, Hollywood's premier color grading application.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out as a narrative filmmaker and screenwriter, having studied literature and screenwriting and made some award-winning short films. I saw how many of my filmmaking friends were enjoying their work for freelance clients and decided to give it a try myself. I love being able to use those same storytelling skills in a way that gets more immediate and tangible results than one would normally see in the narrative filmmaking world.
