K's Pet Care Services
About this pro
K's Pet Care Services has over 20 years experience in the animal care industry with specialized care that goes above and beyond. We pride ourselves on safety, health integrity, professionalism, compassion, reliability and cleanliness. I am currently working on my veterinary technician courses; and in the past I managed a kennel/boarding facility for 3 years, multiple pet stores and held 3 grooming jobs. We strive for excellence using a combination of positive reinforcement, play, instrumental learning and redirecting to get a well rounded session for you and your pup. We work. on strengthening you and your dog's bond as well as working on proper behavior and reactions to stimuli. There is no such thing as a bad dog, just mistakenly learned behaviors. Learning to read your dogs body signals is a vital part of your bond. We will take you through the steps and explain the reasoning behind each. We take all the guess work out of training. I use positive reinforcement combined with instrumental learning for training, socialization and general interaction with dogs. I have an extensive understanding of animal behavior; and I am always expanding on my knowledge to keep up with new ways to stimulate and interact with pets. I require a meet and greet prior to any services, at no cost to you, to be sure that everyone is comfortable with each other, especially your pet(s), to go over feeding, routines, times, veterinary care facility, allergies etc. I love what I do; and it shows. I love everything about my job. The pets are always so happy to see you, which makes it impossible to have a bad day. One look from a goofy face and a tail wagging makes everything bad disappear. Every animal has this pure love that they want to give to everyone. There is something about a tail wagging or a purr when they see you, that can make the worst day a bit more bearable.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Prices are somewhat flexible depending on the pets and jobs required. Each pets needs will be different and a price can be tailored to individual needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am currently looking into different classes, certificates and animal CPR. My goal is to get my DVM and then open a non-profit no-kill shelter.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I always wanted to be a veterinarian. When I was a teenager my passion for animals drove me to get a wide variety of jobs in the animal field. I worked at 2 different pet stores, was head of the small animal and bird department by 18, apprenticed under a groomer, worked as a bather & brusher and managed a full boarding and day care kennel for 3 years. And I am still pressing to become a veterinarian.
