FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by identifying your key business requirements and the problem(s) you’re trying to solve. I will begin by examining the paths you have already taken in order to solve each problem and come up with the best solution. I will look closely at who your customers are, to define user profiles and fully understand the user journey. Once I fully understand your site requirements and personal preferences, I will begin working on the initial mock-ups of the core pages. In this phase, I will take what’s already great about your brand and translate it into a digital interface that’s beautiful, informative, and intuitive. Once the design phase is completed and approved I will move on to development. In this final phase, I will complete a full QC review of the desktop and responsive versions of the site, to identify any issues that may have been missed during the development phase. I will also confirm the site is Search Engine Optimized and that all tracking tools are set up. You will then have a final pass of the site and once approved we will set a go-live date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently hold a Graphic and Web Design Certificate from American International College.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually taught myself how to code HTML/CSS back when Myspace was very popular. Some users were selling Myspace “layouts” that would make your profile design be completely unique. I couldn’t find any that matched exactly what I was envisioning, so I decided to create one myself. After weeks of research, and a lot of trial and error, I taught myself how to code HTML/CSS MySpace Layouts. It was then that I started my first business. I created my graphics in Photoshop and gave my custom layouts away for free. I gained over 2,300 followers/friends and would host contests where I would create a custom layout for the winner. Myspace layouts led to creating HTML/CSS websites and then to WordPress and Shopify. In 2008, I attended American International College and was awarded my certification in Web and Graphic Design and Development. Since then, I have been designing and developing high-quality, beautiful websites for my clients that turn visitors into customers.
