About this pro

How does your business stand out?

Our technicians and I are extremely knowledgeable about not only the A/V equipment we install, but also the safety and logistical concerns that go with mounting a heavy TV on a wall (especially above a major heat source like a fireplace) and concealing it's wires inside the wall. We always make sure to execute our designs in not only the most aesthetically pleasing, but also the safest, way possible with minimal disruption to the space. It goes without saying that we always make sure to treat your home and your equipment with the utmost care during the installation process, and I will personally walk you through a detailed plan for the install to make sure we're on the same page before we start any work. Infinet applies the same care and personalized touch to its home automation offerings, and our knowledge, training, and qualifications are simply unparalleled. After all, we are the only home control and energy efficiency specialist in Massachusetts with a RadioRA 2 Level 2 Design Certification and a Sivoia QS Full Residential Shade Qualification from Lutron. We also set ourselves apart by training our technicians to integrate our Lutron systems with our home theater systems as well as additional Z-Wave and Zigbee home automation devices (including door locks, garage door controllers, motion sensors, sprinkler control, Philips hue personal wireless lighting, and more), in contrast to most of our competitors who specialize in only one home automation protocol, so we tailor a truly unified and all-inclusive home control solution to your unique needs.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

Every home is different. You never know what's hiding behind the drywall, and no matter how small or routine a client's project may seem at first glance, it almost always presents us with a unique challenge. I love a challenge, and I love analyzing the problem and coming up with the best solution to tackle it.

Edwin mounted 3 led tv's (42, 55, and 60) and did a great job. He encountered an issue with an outlet and came up with a custom solution on the spot. Edwin is a real pro and I highly recommend him.

Edwin came to my house on a Sunday and installed a coax port near my media cabinet and ran HDMI cable behind my fireplace. He was meticulous and the finished product looks seamless and professional. He also cleaned every surface he came into contact with and made sure the space was pristine when he left. I highly recommend Edwin and infinet.

    Buyer beware!
Review of Infinet Home systems. We utilized Infinet Home systems for a wall mount for our 48 inch TV and Soundbar over our fireplace recently. We had read the previous reviews and they appeared to indicate their work was very good. The owner of the company came to perform the work. Scheduling was a little difficult as they appear to be very busy, but we managed to secure a timeslot for a Friday morning (for 3 hours), as he had another customer to attend to after the 3 hours. During the 3 hours the back frame of the mount was secured to the wall and the outlet box was put in place, as well as identification of wall studs – which there was 5 of them. The next availability was for Sunday at 1pm. However, this needed to be pushed out farther to 3pm due to another competing job. We accommodated Edwin and agreed on 3pm to finish the rest of the job. Infinet systems works on an Hourly basis ($60/hour). This is a customer beware item. With only 1 engineer to do the work – costs rise quickly. Our 3pm appointment completed at 11pm. There is no estimate provided on how long it will take to go through the studs – which presents issues for the homeowner, you will not know how much to expect for the final bill – it is opened ended Total time to complete our Job was 3 hours on Friday and another 8 hours on Sunday = 11 hours! The tally was $700 and we closed up at 11:15pm. This cost was more than the price of both the TV and Soundbar. They clearly need additional support – and need a better model to let the buyer know how much to expect. Understanding that they may encounter issues is expected – but the company has been in business for 6 years – and you would assume that they have a billing model than they can provide. As stated, the work concluded about 11:15pm and in the haste to conclude the activity after 8 hours – I did not notice that a 5”x5” square hole was still open on our wall with the insulation showing. I sent a note to Edwin the next morning, whom indicated he could have his contractor come over to fix that (at a further cost!). My wife and I would never had thought we would need to patch our Living room wall after completing the work. We have visited friends whom have had a wall mounted TV and none of them needed to have the wall repaired. The explanation from them - “I completely forgot to discuss that with you and your husband before leaving. I'd be happy to have my drywall contractor take care of it; I wasn't sure whether it was something you wanted us to take care of or not since it's not something we do directly”. We read reviews on his web – where a previous customer indicated they “patched their wall afterwards - for NO Fee! Additionally, He further indicated he forgot to price in the cost of some additional cables that would add another $70 Dollars to the final price. In addition, we had a Blu-Ray player that I requested to also be cabled in. This was another miss on his part. I now cannot hide the cables for the Blu-Ray player – which essentially ruins the entire reason for Mounting our TV and Soundbar. Their cables are hidden, but the Blu-Ray player cables are sitting wide open. We will now need to secure a vendor to resolve the Blu-Ray player and its cables - at further expense to us. Oh, the 5x5 hole in the wall - we will be repairing it ourself. In summation, they may know HOW to do the work – but it appears that after 6 years in this business they do not have any understanding of the customers or of customer service. If you contract with them – we would advise that you ask them to price it out before they start – they can certainly provide an estimate on how long it should takes to bore through studs and perform the work – they have been in the business for 6 years.

    Truly a good hire!
Edwin was amazing: attentive to detail, focused on the task at hand, willing to do "extra" when we needed it, including going back to his shop for a better mounting when the one we purchased was wrong. He put a lot of time in and didn't complain and most of all he did what he said he would do and when he said he would be to me. He was quiet, efficient, cleaned up the space. Truly a gem to work with.

Excellent TV Mount and Great Service Overall
I highly recommend Edwin and Infinet Home Systems for your home theater install or TV mounting needs. Edwin arrived at my home and was 100% prepared for the job. Although my install was a basic tilt TV mount above a fireplace, Edwin took careful measurements and drew out the mount on paper before drilling any holes. He also recommended proper height and placement of the TV. After the install, he cleaned everything perfectly and the TV looked fantastic. At the end of my small job, I was left with the impression that I could trust Infinet Home Systems with installing an entire house of audio and video components. Edwin's attention to detail and knowledge are top notch. Although I was at first skeptical of online services like Thumbtack, I recommend Infinet Home Systems very highly and would suggest them to my friends.

Edwin did a phenomenal job setting up my system. He even installed a shelf for my cable box and PS4. He quoted me a specific amount then after the job was complete he told me the price was less than he quoted, I was impressed with his speed and professionalism that I gave him the quoted price! Save time and go with him!

Edwin did a really great job with our home energy efficiency audit. Helped us save literally thousands by finding creative ways to cut our energy usage.

Edwin came out to why our wifi was so slow, and explained how our access points needed a wired connection to the main router for us to get the speeds we were supposed to. He ran new ethernet wires from the router to each of the two access points, patched up and repainted the holes he had to make, and got everything setup and programmed for us. We're finally getting the speed we've been paying Comcast for for years, so I'm really happy we called him.

We had just moved into a new home and after a little begging and pleading and negotiating, I convinced my wife it'd be nice to get a new flat screen for the family room to put over the fireplace. Edwin came highly recommended from one of my friends, so I figured I'd give him a call to see if he could help get it mounted. He helped me settle on a 65" LED instead of plasma because of the lighting of the room, and he made sure to work us into his schedule the day the TV came in from Best Buy (I was really anxious to try it out). A few days before the TV arrived he and another guy came over to run the wiring for a recessed outlet behind the TV and ran the HDMI cables through the wall so we could hide our bluray player, PS3, etc in a cabinet in the corner. He needed to make a few holes to run all the wires, but he had his drywall guy patch everything up perfectly and repaint it the next day. This was included in the price. I was really worried at first about how patching and repainting a section of the wall and ceiling would look, but it seriously looked spectacular - you can't tell where the hole was even up close. Then, as scheduled, he showed up the day the TV arrived to get the mount installed and the TV up, and within a few hours he had totally finished the job. He installed the TV about 8 months ago and it's still in the wall despite our two young boys (I wouldn't be surprised if they use the TV as a jungle gym when we're not looking, knowing them haha), so looks like he definitely did something right securing it to the wall. And it of course looks beautiful the way he mounted it and hid the wires. I'm really happy with Edwin's work and I know why my friend recommended him so highly.

Q&A

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes - I and my team attend as many of Lutron's continuing education courses possible and we receive new certifications in the field all the time. Please contact us for the most up to date list of my and my team's current certifications and training credits.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We're just putting the finishing touches on a palatial, 6,500 square foot residence in Needham we've been working on since February. This house is going to be Infinet's model home for our potential clients to come explore, and so naturally it got "the works." With nine flat screen TVs (and all the customary components - PS3, PS4, Wii U, 7 Apple TVs, 7 FiOS set-top boxes, 5 Blu-ray players, and much more - all connected but hidden away with wiring concealed in the walls and ceilings), four iPad minis mounted in the wall and a full-size iPad in the family room to control all the home's systems, full-home 300Mbps wireless and Gigabit wired internet, digital door locks and garage door controls, roughly 250 Lutron RadioRA 2 devices, 20 Philips hue bulbs and 4 Lifx bulbs, roughly 150 Cree LED lights, roughly 50 motorized shades, and so much more, this house has it all. Between the sheer number of simultaneous home control and home A/V projects we had going at once and the added headache that all the equipment was being retrofitted after the house had been built, this was by far the most daunting project I and my company ever took on. And that's precisely why it's the project we're proudest to have completed, on time and under budget.
