Heating System Repair or Maintenance
I reached out to Paul on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Both times he was willing to help to ensure the problem was resolved so my mother in law would have no disruption in heat. Ultimately, he came out on New Year’s Eve and took care of the issue. He did a thorough inspection of the system and confirmed it was an issue with the thermostat which he replaced. Paul communicated every step of the way, followed up after the work was done and was very fair with pricing. It was great to work with him and will definitely use for future projects. Thank you Paul!

My heating system and nest thermostats didn’t work and nobody really knew why and how to fix it. Few people looked at it and were not seeing the cause of the problem. Then I found Paul here on Thumbtack and he responded very quickly - we were booked for the next day. He did a thorough assessment of the situation and identified what the root of the issue was. There was a part needed to be added to my heating system to support proper zoning and wiring to the thermostats. Paul took care of ordering the part and picking it up, which really helped as that was one less thing I had to worry about. He came back as soon as the part was available to complete the installation and was done fast. He tested everything out to make sure no glitches. Now it has been about 4 weeks (sorry for the delayed review Paul!) since his repair and everything is working fantastic! And in addition to being so effective, he is also very responsive and let’s you know exactly when he is anticipating to be at your house which allows you to plan your day better. Paul was not the first hvac professional I had hired to do work on my house, but certainly the best. Thanks so much Paul!!!

Paul responded to my Thumbtack request for help on a boiler issue within 30 minutes at 8pm at night. He was on the phone with me the next morning at 8am via FaceTime assisting me getting the pilot to light on a 30 year old boiler. I didn’t know a thing about how to light this thing and he spent 24 minutes on FT helping me troubleshoot the issue until the pilot was finally lit. Granted, I was very uneducated on the topic, however, Paul, at no cost, I walked me through the process, and I am now better educated for it. Responsive, professional, value based advice given and for free. I couldn’t have been more happy with my experience with Paul. He is going to be my service consultant for any repairs for anything plumbing related as I move forward.

AMAZING SERVICE! I can’t put into words how thankful I am to have connected with Paul and his company. The amount of care and kindness that was shown towards us exceeded any expectation. Originally, he apologized as he thought he wouldn’t be able to help us and I proceeded to look for another company. Paul followed up with me the next day to make sure I found someone who could help. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with another company’s lack of customer care and was stuck. Paul offered to come by the next day to just check it out not promising anything but just trying to be helpful. We agreed to have him come out and are so thankful because it was as simple as replacing a switch and our heating unit was back up and running! If you’re looking for an honest, conscientious and competent company with great customer service you must use FABS Mechanical!

Single-person small business with a lot of respect for customers. I got a great inspection done on my boiler system. It was a little bit pricier than other inspections, but Fabs Mechanical was very responsive and available and taught me about my system so I can be more informed about what it takes to maintain it. I also got support over the phone (call and text) when I had a boiler emergency come up. All in all, this was a great experience and a great company to work with. I feel I was taken care of and treated with a lot of respect.
