I studied Italian at Siena University, and I love teaching. Seeing the language progress in my students is my goal.

Ligia comes to my house a few hours a week and we talk in Italian. Sounds easy but this is real learning! We are working through a course book which Ligia patiently explains (in Italian!) and enhances with observations from her time in Italy. We do tests during this time as well as between classes, which she uses to tailor her teaching to address problem areas. She is very patient and clear and explains things in simpler terms when I can't follow. Already after a few weeks not only is my Italian better but I am much more comfortable interacting, albeit primitively, in Italian.

I am really enjoying my Italian lessons with Ligia. She's patient and knowledgeable, while also very engaging. I'm very excited to develop this language capability and I'd highly recommend Ligia if you're looking to do the same.
