- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Animation and Video projects need as much background provided by the customer as possible to begin the quote/bid process. My estimates will be based on an hourly rate, as well as how any project compares to the many I have done before it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start phone or email conversation to see what the client wants and whether I feel like I would be a good match for their goals. After that we'd create and outline of what they are looking to achieve, along with specifics such as deadline, budget, target audience and the format for deliverables. Most projects proceed with several stages, starting with sketches, then rough 3D visuals, refining at each stage until we've arrived at the final product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, with a BFA in Industrial Design. After that my training has been in the form of 20+ years of professional experience both as an employee in creative companies and on my own, with numerous projects large and small. I view education as a lifelong endeavor and look to learn something new with each customer.
