FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a Video Editor I charge $45/hr, with a 50% deposit based on my projection of hours needed. I will work with any length of media and offer quick turnaround, timing is varied by the scope of your project. As an Art Educator my pricing is flat $75/lesson, for some projects I may require you to purchase your own supplies. After the first lesson, I am willing to discuss discounts if the student is facing financial hardship.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For Video, we begin by discussing the scope and important takeaways of your project. This will lead us to the first cut, where I will take your footage and cut it down to the most important and coherent composition. Then we will discuss the trajectory, make any edits you see fit, and I will offer advising at this time. This will result in subsequent cuts until you are satisfied with the result. For lessons, The first lesson usually involves exploring a topic that the student is familiar with which helps me gauge the students aptitudes and helps me identify a course for further education. The most novice students will begin by learning about the fundamentals of visual design. I also use this class to evaluate if I am the right instructor for the student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Masters of Fine Arts in Painting at the University of Washington.
