My name is Irene. Lena Lipatova tutored my two children. Lena is an excellent tutor and a great teacher. At the first session she gave a test to my kids to evaluate their knowledge. Based on the result of the test Lena planned her sessions to help them prepare for the SAT. She was very thorough in covering the subjects and answering questions. Lena was very patient providing explanations till my kids completely understood what they needed to do in order to improve their SAT scores. Lena gave my kids a lot of valuable tips. The result is: both of my kids significantly improved their SAT scores and eventually were accepted in good colleges, Babson College and University of New Hampshire. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a meeting (or phone discussion) with a parent and a student. If necessary, I give an evaluation test. Then we agree on a general approach and start meeting with a student according to the schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have Masters' Degree in Education. I also participated in two Training programs while working for Tutoring companies.
