I originally hired Cheryl as a limited assistance representation attorney for a divorce. My wife had me arrested and a restraining order against me to gain custody and get the house. I was also dealing with some extensive medical issues. With my world turned upside down, my emotions were running very highly. Cheryl explained to me the nuances of the law which I did not feel were fair. I was in a 23 year marriage. The law states that the assets were to be divided equally. Cheryl was able to negotiate that I kept the house and shared custody of my son and my ex-wife received 1/6 of my retirement assets. Being a divorce attorney must be a thankless profession with all the emotional turmoil involved. I didn't see it at the time but thank you Cheryl for having my best interest in mind and negotiating a decent settlement. My first recommendation to anyone getting divorced is to Not! But if a divorce is inevitable I would recommend Cheryl Manahan as your attorney. K.M. Lowell
