How did you get started doing this type of work?
I realized through my professional therapeutic work with people that many wanted an alternative to therapy which focused more on the present and future, rather than dwelling on, and being confirmed by the past. People also wanted the convenience of meeting with me online and as my reputation grew I had my client's relative from other states and countries seeking coaching which you cannot do with therapy.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Issues around relationships, communication, unhappy with career or jobs, seeking employment services, ADHD/ADD, family, balancing work and family, self confidence, shy or introverted, being stuck and needing motivation and/or accountability, positive, supportive and someone to help fulfill their potential in life. I also help health and mental health people who want to expand their practice, especially with private pay or coaching services.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look closely at the qualifications of Life coaches as many have no training in psychology which, I feel is an essential skill set in working as a coach.
