FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees for financial planning may be based on an hourly rate that ranges from $120 to $300 or a fixed-fee. Financial planning services are offered without any requirement that we manage investments. Programs range from one-time engagements through ongoing support programs with periodic updates and advice on a range of matters.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an introductory call to get acquainted followed by a call or meeting to review a service agreement. Once a service agreement is in place and a deposit paid, each client receives a link to a secure online portal to upload specific items needed as part of the planning process. They also will receive links to complete various online tools and data gathering. We then schedule live or virtual meetings to review the analysis reports and recommendations. If implementation support is part of the service agreement, we then make arrangements to help coordinate the plan and recommendations.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My career began in 1986 as a mortgage broker and evolved into financial planning as I was asked more and more by my clients how to help them with other aspects of their personal finances.
