FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. from Berklee College of Music. I stay current on all teaching and performance trends. I attend drum clinic as well as teaching clinics. I'm also performer, which helps me relate ideas to a student about what is needed to be a working musician, if that is what interests them.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
As a professional musician, I take teaching music seriously. I make a focused effort with each student to be productive at every lesson, and I ask you to make the same commitment. This means coming to lessons prepared and ready to focus on our material, ask questions, and listen to the answers. Any good teaching relationship is a shared learning experience. For my part, I get to know each students aptitudes, interests, and aspirations, and I work to provide lessons, material, and assessments to meet each students unique capabilities and needs. Working together, you and I will develop your ability to understand, enjoy, and play music. As your abilities progress, you will find lessons more and more enjoyable and you will gain pride and confidence in your skills.
