Bruce did a great job rewiring our house for internet and wi-fi. There were some complicating factors just based on layout and construction and he explained our options clearly. He was up front about costs and ways to keep expenses down while getting the results we wanted. He then ordered the hardware for us and did what ended up being a very long install, which he stayed extremely late to finish and make sure everything worked as planned. I would not hesitate to use Bruce again, and would recommend him to anyone.

How do I start to describe/review the incredible job that Bruce did in two days on my new house?! Basically, the plan was to repurpose certain audio visual hardware that the ex-owners left for us: some Bose surround sound speakers, TVs, outdoor weather proof speakers, tv sound bars, etc. Everything was a mess of cables and hardware that I find hard to accurately describe. All I saw was a spaghetti-mess of cables that, years ago, may have been set up correctly but today were all disconnected, snaking their way above the acoustic tiles of the beautiful finished basement. The job was huge (an understatement)! I wanted music to be played throughout the whole house and even outside the house. I also wanted complete surround systems installed in three areas: basement (which is now a movie room with a pool table), large family room and master bedroom. So after two days and close to $10K (Bruce gave me a very detailed estimate of EVERYTHING!), I now have 3 surround sound systems controlled by Sonos and the Sonos App. The job is too big to describe accurately in this review. Bruce is beyond knowledgeable and professional! The estimate was exactly what I ended up paying. Among many other things, Bruce mounted two 60-inch flat screens on the walls and connected the whole system in a seamless way: all controlled by the Sonos App on my iPhone. I can stream music on each system individually or collectively stream music throughout the whole house. I admit that initially I was a little bit worried that such a big job could be done by one person. Bruce proved me wrong. He embedded the surround speakers into the walls, went into the attic to run more wires for the master bedroom surround system, rewired the spaghetti mess of wires, etc. I had never seen anyone work so hard and so perfectly well (the second day he worked into midnight). I hope that this review is read by many because Bruce deserves to be hired for your audiovisual needs: small jobs or huge jobs, he can tackle both with outstanding knowledge and care. I can’t stress enough how solidly I recommend “Concepts Audio…” and Bruce Federico for your audiovisual needs. I feel like a kid on Christmas Day! I know I’m forgetting many things but there’s just not enough space for me to truly describe the immense job that was done in my new home. Everything is warrantied. And if I have any doubts on how to work the system, I can just pick up the phone and call Bruce. I feel very lucky to have met him and to have hired him through Thumbtack. If I could give him 6 stars I would! Thanks to Bruce and Concept Audio my house now ROCKS…literally!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nothing complex about it. I charge flat rate pricing to reduce the confusion. All labor is Lifetime warranty and included in the labor
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Trainings, Workshops, and more trainings. I want to say a good 25% of my work year is spent getting my hands on New Product, New Gear, New Technology and New Training materials. It's what I believe in. Similar to a performance athlete trains for a big meet, I cannot possibly perform my best service unless I bring the right training. From Workshops, Webinars, CES all the way to on site work, I get my learning in as much as I can to keep up on not only the new stuff that is out, but the newer stuff right around the corner.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
On accident. No lie. I was a local part time employee who knew how to connect things working seasonal work at a Best Buy. I was fixing odd jobs that our local 3rd party contractors would occasionally mess up in order to "save the sale". One customer in particular, changed my direction when I went to his house to fix his system. He was a typical family man who was going to see his son for the first time since he was stationed in Iraq during Desert Storm. He just had his child and the game plan was he was going to see his grandchild and his Son in the same weekend. Well, I got it done and he was elated that it was working as it should. 2 Weeks passed by and I got called into the office to speak with my manager and he hands me a note. It was a thank you card from that man's wife. Come to find out the planned weekend was a success. The son came with his wife and newborn. They had an amazing weekend and enjoyed the system Later Saturday night, he and his wife fell asleep together watching their favorite movie on their new TV. He passed away that Sunday Morning and she wanted to thank me for making the final moments of his life here so memorable and the best moments and she was eternally grateful. I never stopped doing it since.
