FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we reach out to a new Customer, we offer a free in-home estimate. This allows us to provide the most accurate estimated cost of the project. Quotes that we give on site are binding; that's why we encourage Customers to take advantage of this free service we offer. When Customer chooses to hire us for the project, we send out a contract that provides a detailed breakdown of the services offered, and project specifics like measurements, material, color, turnaround time. Upon signing the contract we request a 30% deposit that can be paid with a credit card, check or cash. There is a 3% discount when Customers pay with cash or check. The day before project is scheduled to start, your project assistant will reach out to you to confirm the time we should arrive next day - your project assistant will arrive together with our crew of contractors at that time. At the end of each project day we are going to reach out to you to check on the progress and to ask for your feedback. When your home improvement is finished, we'll come over to inspect the results and close the contract.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First and foremost make sure professional you are considering to hire is MHIC licensed, as this is required by Law. Ask for their MHIC and contact Maryland Home Improvement Commission to verify their license number. Hiring an unlicensed contractor might put you at risk an unlicensed contractor will not be able to obtain construction license if one is required for your project. Having something built without a permit becomes a burden for a homeowner if it turns out a home improvement project was not carried out in compliance with local County or City Construction Code; or when you decide to sell your property and it needs to be inspected. MHIC license means your contractor has proper education and necessary experience, and that your contract is protected by Maryland Home Improvement Commission.
