Mirella is an incredibly energetic and dedicated teacher, with a unique attentiveness to her students' strengths and challenges and an ability to adapt her lessons to respond to them. My advice to anyone considering whether to start lessons with Mirella is to imagine yourself getting twice as much out of each lesson as you would with another teacher...if that appeals to you, then sign up with Mirella!

Mirella spent time getting to know my strengths and weaknesses. She can find content. She can optimize the time in class and outside of class. Every time I showed up, I felt like I was making progress, and felt embarrassed if I had’t prepared to make the most of this precious time. Mirella won't give you work that just makes you feel good. In fact, the opposite. She'll drill you on things she knows you struggle with.

Mirella has been my tutor for 9 months, and has taken me hand in hand from elementary to intermediate conversational level. I have had Italian lessons before, but Mirella's dedicated efforts gave me both the confidence and the competence I needed. I have visited my family back in Italy for over fifty years and my last time has really been my first experience enjoying understanding, replying... and conversing!
