- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a model in my late teens. Photographers always seemed to be interested in photographing me so I decided on accepting a few sessions. I never seemed to like the way my expression looked in the photographs so I decided to try taking photos of better models. I'd just transferred from Hampton University in Hampton, VA to come back home and attend UMBC. I didn't know what I wanted to major in but I knew I had a passion for art. I decided to give photography a try and here I am years later with my own business and I love it!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't hire me because of the price quote I give you, hire me because you genuinely like my work. The price has nothing to do with the product, years from now you aren't even going to think about how much or how little you paid for photos, you are just going to remember the experience and admire your final product.
