I've known Garrett for over 8 years. He is well-knowledged in self defense and awareness. Professional, comfortable to train with and has really helped build my confidence. If your looking for a passionate instructor, who has great listening skills, Trainum Martial Arts is the way to go!
Elin designed a creative program to help my 9 year old son prepare for his martial arts tournaments. My son definitely made improvements in his strength, agility and stamina. Elin was also able to fine tune his kicking and blocking skills since he has experience in various self defense/fighting skills. Elin is quick to respond to emails/text/calls and has tremendous knowledge in the art of exercise, bodybuilding and nutrition. I highly recommend Elin and his team for anyone looking for a professional personal trainer.
This was my first Thumbtack experience so I did not know what to expect. I called Alex and booked an initial meeting for a self defense class. I was so impressed with his knowledge and ability to teach to me (someone with absolutely no experience in self defense) that I hired him immediately. I would recommend him in a minute, I can't explain how much fun each training is while at the same time also getting a tailored workout as well as learning useful and practical skills!!
We are the DC metro region's only Krav Maga school with close ties to Israel. This means we offer the most current methods and techniques of the Krav Maga system, straight from the source. Private classes: We offer private lessons for individuals, pairs, and small groups. The training can be completely customized to meet your needs. In the past, we have done workshops for moms, gun enthusiasts, joggers, singles, and kids among others. - Are you a realtor worried about entering homes alone? - An EMS worker who routinely deals with less than cooperative patients? - An interest group of hikers or joggers who want to handle themselves out on the trail? - Planning on traveling to another country and worry for your safety? - Do you work as armed or unarmed security and want to refresh and continue to develop your skills? In all of these situations and more, we can work with you to create custom classes, focusing specifically on your specific self-protection needs. Workshops for businesses: We also offer safety lectures and workshops for corporate and small businesses. These sessions are a creative alternative to traditional team-building exercises and a great complement to your corporate wellness program.
I have been attending self defense classes with Talal for several months now. He is an amazing coach: very professional and at the same time he has fun personality. Classes are never boring! I'm looking forward to continue working with him.
I have teaching karate (kempo), judo, and some weapons system for twenty years. I am an excellent one-on-one teacher.
This is not a typical self-defense class. This is a re-training of my mind to better understand the physical forces at work, so I can then retrain my body to respond in a most efficient way. I am already feeling more empowered and in charge of my body. This is flowing over to my mind as I begin to take more control over decisions I make and relationships I am in. This is a self-defense class for my entire being- not just my body.
Julien is my personal training. I am extremely happy to have him as a trainer. I have actually lost wait and builded muscle within 3 months and learned some self defense moves. He tailors the workout routing base on you strength and ability than progress as your health improves. I'm grateful to have him as a trainer and I'm sure you will be also.
I not only teach you how to defend yourself from the average person. I also teach you how to defend yourself from people like me who already know how to fight!
When I met breelaun, I had just stepped foot into a gym for the very first time in 19 years!! I didn't have the motivation, was very self-conscious, and was very intimidated by the machines. breelaun didn't make me feel like a big out of shape loser. He is very patient, and knowledgeable on fitness & nutrition. He's super laid back and not your typical "military" style trainer. Don't get me wrong, there were times I whined & said I was tired, & he'd let me rest for a little (like 1 minute) lol & get back to working out .Most important, I was very comfortable with him. I am very happy I made the choice of getting training w/breelaun & have made major changes in my lifestyle.breelaun is the best. Very serious about getting you to achieve your personal best while maintaining a fun environment. It's important to enjoy your workouts and breelaun makes sure that you have a good time. !!!! Thanks BREE BREE ;)
We are a one stop shop for ALL training.

Our instructor, Sensei Tom Swiss, is a fourth-degree black belt with over twenty-five years of experience in karate. I’ve been taking self defense lessons with Anthony for about 3 months now and it has been great. He breaks down movements and explains things in a way that’s easy for a beginner to understand, and is great at tailoring workouts to my needs. I work in an emergency room where patients often become violent, and Anthony takes situations I’ve seen or my co-workers have seen and shows me how to defend myself. You can tell from your first session with Anthony that he not only is an expert in what he does, but that he loves what he does. He makes working out fun. I leave our sessions completely exhausted, as he works you hard for the full time. He’s also great at working around my crazy schedule. I enjoy our sessions so much I’ve been passing out his business cards to all my work friends!
Scott is very passionate about teaching women to defend themselves. But he also teaches respect and enhances confidence and self esteem.
Difference between a fighter and a martial artist are the core values that make up the foundation of the martial art (integrity, perseverance, self control, and modesty).
