Introduction: Math and economics themselves are objective but how people come to understand them is certainly not! Realizing that was critical to my own learning so I'm determined to help others do the same. In my tutoring, I identify and leverage each individual's preferred method of learning to make material more approachable and easy to grasp. As a current PhD student in Economics with Bachelor's Degrees in Mathematics and Economics, I have a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied mathematics and economics. Additionally, my years of tutoring experience to varying age and grade levels enable me to effectively teach complex topics in a manner that's understandable and personally suited to the individual.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to first have an informal discussion with new customers to make sure we are on the same page in terms of their goals, areas of difficulty, and preferred method of learning. Then in our sessions, we work through concepts and problems and identify techniques and strategies that fill gaps in knowledge or ability.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a Mathematics and Economics dual major in my undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester and I am now a PhD student in Economics at University of Maryland - College Park.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started tutoring in high school and continued through college and after. I see learning as a great continual pursuit and I love helping others to thrive in their academic and personal journies.
