Very responsive and kind in the approach he takes for teaching. He also is very knowledgeable and easy to grasp what it is he’s trying to teach.Jan 30, 2021Verified

Daniel is a really great listener who clearly tailors his approach, meeting students where they are, and helping get them moving toward their goals. Although I've had just a few lessons with him, I feel like he really is helping me progress and getting much more enjoyment out of my playing.Feb 6, 2021

Taking lessons with Dan was great! I not only learned classical guitar, but also music theory and posture techniques to make playing easier and less strenuous on my joints. As someone coming from playing tabs on electric guitar, he taught me how to sight-read, how to fingerpick and maintain my nails for fingerpicking, and how to introduce subtle expressiveness into my classical guitar playing. His depth of knowledge of the guitar made for a wholistic learning experience.May 27, 2019

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I can offer a 10% discount to students who pay for an entire month of lessons at a time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We'll connect for a first lesson. This will be an opportunity for you to share with me your musical goals, and for me to build a plan for you to reach them. Playing, instruction, and direction will occur so you leave the first lesson excited for your journey.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Master's in Music Performance from the University of South Carolina, and a Performance Certificate from the University of Denver. I also have a Bachelor's in Music Technology which opens up options for lessons and practice performance. I am also an AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, and this deeply informs how I approach teaching and the body/mind connection.
