After two failed attempts at having my "Birthday tribute" song mixed to what I deem "quality standards" I tried Bouk 2 Bouk as a last resort. Given Royce's reasonable hourly rate, I was a bit sceptical since my philosophy was "the more you spend, the more likely you are to recieve a quaility" Boy was I wrong! After contacting Royce regarding the project, he was very personable and engaging! He listened to the two previous mixes I obtained from other studios, and explained to me the cause's and reason's for the issues I had with the mixes. He assured me that he could produce the clarity and sound I was looking for. Apon meeting, he made me feel comfortable. Being a musician himself, he has quite an ear for sound production, and what may be best suited for the track. His mix was the BEST out of the 2 studios previously visted (of which I spent several hundred dollars collectively) and I am quite satisfied! He offered to tailor the track even more to my liking after I listened to it for a few days or so, (I tend to be a perfectionist at times) although time wouldn't permit on my end. All in all, I would DEFINITELY reccomend Bouk2Bouk. Royce is a good guy, knows his stuff, produces a quaility sound, and isn't satisfied until you are. Will DEFINITELY be back, should another project develop!

Royce is a really good fellow and an amazing engineer. He was very interested in my project and took the time to analyze, effectively apply skill, and provide feedback. I never felt rushed or out of place. It was definitely a friendly vibe and he has a lot of skill. Will definitely work with him again in the future.

Had a great experience with Royce. Once I told him what type of mix I wanted, we sat down and he took the time to make sure the track was perfect. I have played the mix at few gigs I had and it was flawless. I would recommend any DJ that is looking for an edge get with Royce. I will be using him services again. Thank You partner. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally charge $35/hr. I always give my clients more service than they pay for. As stated before, I care about the project that I'm working on and I will dedicate time to a project that will not be invoiced to a client. I want my clients to return so I do my best for them.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with them or speak with them to get an idea of what they hope to accomplish. If they feel comfortable and want to move forward, then we take the next step which can be different in each case depending on the client's needs, desires, ability, deadlines, budget and schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i go to music workshops and conventions as well as read periodicals and view web tutorials regularly. I also communicate with other engineers to stay on top of what's going on. lastly, practice, practice, practice!
