Introduction: Diversified Contractors / DCPatio has been creating unique livable outdoor spaces for our clients in the DC Metro area for over 15 years. We offer many different material options and choices to suit every taste, style and budget. Our pride of craftsmanship is shown on every project, as our ultimate goal is for the client to enjoy their new space so much, that they will eagerly discuss and refer us to fellow friends and family. By far, the most enjoyable aspect of patio and landscape construction is implementing a project a client may have been dreaming about for years. Wonderful experience! Mike, the owner, helped me create a cozy outdoor space last Fall that is truly the envy of the neighborhood. From initial concept to final installation, Mike and his team were able to exceed my expectations at every turn. Several varieties of material options were presented (pavers and stone), and ultimately I chose a beautiful natural flagstone, with a stacked stone seat wall and matching fire pit. Little touches like tiny decorative river gravel to fill the joints, make it feel like custom craftsmanship! It's gorgeous, and I continue to get compliments from friends and neighbors. Mike is very knowledgeable on landscaping, and you can tell he enjoys his work. The installation team worked extremely hard, and were a joy to watch putting things together. They were very friendly, and I appreciated them tidying up the site at the end of each day. I would highly recommend DC Patio to anybody who is looking to create a unique outdoor space. I have already referred two co-workers to them, and will gladly continue to do so. I also plan to hire them again when I'm ready to renovate my front entrance walkway. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are general price ranges for specific types of projects, but each project has unique variables(i.e. access, type of materials, depth of excavation, engineering requirements, etc.) which don't allow a uniform blind bidding process.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically begin with a brief phone call to discuss the scope of the client's project in a bit further detail. If the scope matches our services, and the client is interested, we then schedule a time for a site visit, and corresponding estimate, usually within 2-3 days.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are an ICPI certified paver installer. We are an ICPI certified permeable paver installer. We are an NMCA segmental retaining wall installer(SRW).
