Seemed like a nice guy, but that's it. Was hired to install 2 porch columns. He had the hardest time doing so. When I checked on him, the column that he cut appeared to be short. He told me it was because he had jacked the porch roof up and once he removed the jack it would fit. Well, 3 days later it was obvious he just caulked it to make it look right. There's now a gap. Now I have to find someone to fix his big mistakes and hope the roof doesn't collapse! Also, he dropped the column which landed on a window screen and ripped it. He promised he would return in 2 days and repair it. Ofcourse, no show. Once one gets paid for doing a rotten job, why would one return? Beware, find someone with integrity!!!

i did go back and replace screen and she was mad and didn't want me do anything else I could have just changed base from 5/4 to a 2by which the 1/4,inch would have been tight

Tom was great for the shutter repair. He came to our house on short notice and even hunted down extra large shutters that home depot did not have in stock. So we were really impressed at first and grateful we hired him. However, Tom was also hired to repair a window sill for us - unfortunately the wood piece he got was short. We've tried several times to reach Tom and have him come back and fix the work and possible help with other jobs. Every time after the first time he visited us he has no-showed even with scheduled appointment times. No phone call to reschedule or notice that he wasn't going to be able to make it. So while we really liked Tom as a person and he did a great job on the shutters, the remaining projects he agreed to do are either incomplete or improperly done and have yet to be corrected. A little more than disappointed overall.
