Chef Mcavoy was quite helpful in laying a foundation for me to build on in terms of bread making. I am quite the novice and wanted to begin incorporating bread making into my dietary routines for long term optimum health. Chef Mcavoy introduced me to the standard methods of baking artisan breads (baguette and ciabatta) and walked me through old-school tips and techniques in terms of selecting ideal ingredients, making the dough, handling the dough without the aid of a machine (which is something I really enjoyed learning), and how to know that a good loaf is on the way! I feel I now have the confidence to build on this foundation through practice. Finally, Chef Mcavoy was indeed a great conversationalist who imparted information in a rather relaxed and accessible way.

Chef Christoper Mcavoy is a passionate and talented chef who makes delicious meals. He has come to our home and exploded in our kitchen with all the necessary equipment and items to create mouth watering dishes. He does need a lot of room to spread out but always cleans everything up before he leaves. The house smells so good you feel like you are in an episode of one of the Cooking Shows, watching him prepare foods and dishes, juggling several things at once, and always turning out finished meals that taste wonderful. He is polite, straight forward and open to ideas. He is a bit hard on the stove top as he usually has numerous things cooking at the same time along with the oven going. But the house smells wonderful. The meals are usually large in quantity and always high in quality. He has definitely broadened our palate and introduced us to many new foods. He cooks with organic, natural and the freshest items, which sometimes makes him late in arriving, but always top shelf. We would definitely recommend him to others.
