FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically work with new clients on a project basis, and I adhere to that project price unless the client agrees in writing to a new price. Usually after working with clients on an initial project they will ask me to do additional work, and for that I typically bill at $85/hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically have a three-step process: 1. I start by meeting with potential clients and listening to their marketing needs. I ask them about past and/or current marketing efforts, what has worked for them, what they feel has not been successful. In this discovery process I also probe to find out their most profitable products or services, and what areas they're seeking to grow. We then discuss several likely marketing options that would work within their desired budget. 2. After that I put together a proposal that typically contains a "menu" of marketing options, with a price range for each option. We meet again to discuss the proposal and fine-tune it and discuss which strategies would be priorities. 3. At that point I present a final proposal in the form of a letter of agreement, and then we proceed with their desired projects!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in journalism with a focus in public relations, and have completed a number of Master's degree courses in marketing. I have also completed a Facebook marketing program, and am self-taught in using Constant Contact, Wordpress, Leadpages, GotoWebinar and a number of other online marketing programs.
