My daughter and I have taken piano lessons from Jeanine for many years. She is just delightful. Jeanine is very knowledgeable and easily explains complex ideas. She is also patient. She has reasonable expectations for her students. She is able to teach all ages. My daughters started in elementary school. I started as an adult. Jeanine comes to my house, which is very convenient for me. Her rates are reasonable. I highly recommend Jeanine for piano lessons.

Jeanine taught two of my daughters, one piano lessons and the other voice lessons. They both enjoyed Jeanine as a teacher and her willingness to teach them music and songs that they preferred to learn. They would tell her what they wanted to learn and she let them know which would be appropriate for their level. This kept them interested in the lessons with the desire to practice!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A 45 minute lesson is $45 for piano and $50 for voice. If a piano lesson is taught at your home, there is a $10-15 travel fee depending upon your location. Voice lessons are taught only at my studio.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied at the University of Maryland, College Park and Montgomery College, Rockville and have an Associates of Arts degree in Music majoring in both piano and voice. I have continued my musical studies privately over the years with coaches who specialize in advanced piano and vocal training. I am always listening to and learning new music by contemporary composers and updating my repertoire weekly.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a talented pianist and singer, but I am also a natural and skilled teacher. People hear me sing or play at an event and want to know if I teach as well. I want to pass on to others what I have learned from life experience and good teachers and musicians who helped me to become the person I am today. In gratitude to them for all I have received, I want to extend these gifts to others who are eager to learn just as I was when I began my musical journey so many years ago.
