Introduction: We at DFMA are passionate about teaching music! We are career performers/educators with international touring experience with major recording artists. We celebrate 9 years in business at this facility in May 2016 .We bring this wealth of experience to our students. We teach music but we also teach values, goal setting, teamwork, and success. At DFMA every student has the opportunity to do the following: Learn proficiency on their chosen instrument Perform at monthly concerts Record music in our recording studios Interact with other music students Participate in periodic Jam Sessions Get video footage of performances Access to professional artist management Career development and tracking Award winning instruction facility (Howard County Chamber Small Business of the Year 2015 One of our students has a hit record and as recently performed on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon, his name is Gallant! We inspire and help to create careers in the entertainment industry/. We inspire and create excitement in the students. Watching our students succeed on many levels is extremely rewarding to us. Many of our students have made all state bands, orchestra and chorus. Many of our students have gone on to major music schools for college such as Berklee, NYU, USC, UCLA,Peabody, Oberlin, Harvard just to name a few. Others have secured employment post grad at major companies such as the Discovery Channel, Time Warner, Warner Chappel publishing. Others have created their own performance careers and are touring themselves. We are so proud of our students and we love offering the gift of learning how to play an instrument to all who wish to learn.
