FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are generally 20 dollars per half-hour. I currently only travel to students' homes which generally include a $5 travel fee.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied music at Montgomery College for two years before transferring to Towson University, where I am currently completing my requirements for a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Performance. I currently take piano and harpsichord lesson from professors with an extensive history of performance in US and Europe. I previously took composition and organ lessons as well. I first gained my teaching experience through the teachers that mentored me at Piano Adventure School of Music during high school. After I graduated high school in 2010, I began teaching piano as a private contractor at people's home.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always seek a professional musician for your education, especially one that went through at least 4 years of education at a college or conservatory. These people study under professors with years of performance and pedagogy experience. They take rigorous courses that improve their musicianship and are often required to perform frequently. Never go cheap for a piano lesson. Find the teacher that is the right match for you!
