Introduction: I teach with the student's goal in mind. I am not only a pianist that studies classical music, I study music of all genres. I study popular music, Latin, jazz, film music, and game music. I am open to all styles of music because I feel that every music have something to offer. I encourage student to find music that they love and help them learn. I love that I am able to improve the student's life through music. There is an abundance of research on the benefits of music education and I have seen the results through firsthand experience. I enjoy seeing the joy a student have when he or she accomplish their goal.

Analilia is an excellent piano teacher and an excellent pianist! She is so passionate about music and sharing her talent with people. She makes piano easy and enjoyable to learn. Analilia also understands that everyone learns differently, teaching them according to their needs and abilities.

She engaged my child (the student) very natually with no friction, while being firm at the same time. My child is looking forward to lessons and practices more than I could have ever anticipated.

Analilia has been working with my 6th grader for 5 weeks now. We are so happy. She tailors her piano lessons to each student. My daughter and Analilia have a great rapport. The lessons are interesting, fun and productive. We all are very pleased.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Lessons are generally 20 dollars per half-hour. I currently only travel to students' homes which generally include a $5 travel fee.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I studied music at Montgomery College for two years before transferring to Towson University, where I am currently completing my requirements for a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Performance. I currently take piano and harpsichord lesson from professors with an extensive history of performance in US and Europe. I previously took composition and organ lessons as well. I first gained my teaching experience through the teachers that mentored me at Piano Adventure School of Music during high school. After I graduated high school in 2010, I began teaching piano as a private contractor at people's home.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always seek a professional musician for your education, especially one that went through at least 4 years of education at a college or conservatory. These people study under professors with years of performance and pedagogy experience. They take rigorous courses that improve their musicianship and are often required to perform frequently. Never go cheap for a piano lesson. Find the teacher that is the right match for you!
