Affan is a very sweet guy.
He helped us get a gobo for a great price as well as uplighting for our reception hall which was beautiful and i coudln't ask for a better price, but overall i had to give him a three star for the following reasons:
- for 'mr. and mrs.' entrance song, i wanted him to start at a certain point in the song and end at a certain point becuase the song is EXTREMELY long. by the time my husband and i got to the front/dance floor, the song was still going on a pretty long time to the point where it was getting awkward just standing there waiting for our first dance song to start while everyone was staring and wondering what the heck was going on.
- almost similar to the intro song. for our first dance song...again, the song is very long so i wanted it faded out a certain point, but he continued to play the song all the way through so our dance was a very long 5+ minutes.
- during dinner time, i had a certain list of artists/singer/songs that i wanted played during this time, but he was playing some weird old songs, i dont even know what songs they were, and so one of my bridesmaids had to go over and tell him to change the songs to the ones that i had requested.
- i also had a few specific songs and a certain type of genre that i didn't want played at the wedding which i wrote down on his form he wanted us to fill out, and yet i heard both those songs played and was a bit annoyed.
guests came up to me and asked what was up with all the music errors (technical difficulaties as you could prob call it), i even referred a few of my friends who were getting married this year to my dj, but after seeing his performance they chose to go elsewhere sad to say. I really liked Affan from the beginning, but the djing and the mess of songs that went out was a bit disappointing.
