FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into DJ'ing after being heavily influenced by the DJs that I listened to on the radio growing up. I was fascinated with the art and decided to learn how to DJ.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
In July 2013, Beyonce's Mrs. Carter World Tour was performed in the Verizon Center and the owner of Muse Nightclub & Lounge asked if I would be available to DJ an after party for the concert. I agreed and was surprised to learn that Beyonce's background singers, The Mamma's and two of her dancers, The Les Twins were booked to be special guests during the event.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would suggest that you do you research on any DJ that you are thinking of hiring. Ask the DJ to provide a sample of their work and listen to how the DJ blends their tracks. Anyone with the equipment can call themselves a DJ but it takes practice and dedication to read a room and work a crowd. Remember, cheap DJs aren't good and good DJs aren't cheap.
