It was a very positive experience working with Mayowa for portraits. He treated me as if I were a friend, and made the shoot very enjoyable. I was impressed with how quickly he was able to give me feedback and adjust for better shots. Plus, the turn around time for receiving the best of the batch was timely.

First of all, Mayowa stepped in for the wedding at the last minute. Our previous photographer backed out exactly one month before the date. We were stressed and uneasy meeting with a new photographer that we had personally never heard of, but it really worked out for the best! Mayowa met with us and brought samples of his work and really answered every question we had. I knew after that meeting that he would be perfect for the job and we hired a few days after that.
Mayowa was fantastic for my wedding. Although I am waiting on the pictures (it's only been a few days!) I know that they will be outstanding.
He was on time, went with the flow and didn't get in the way. He brought along an assistant who helped with lighting and extra shots. Both Mayowa and Nate were excellent, professional and dressed as if they were attending the wedding, not simply a working part of it.
When we arrived at the venue for the ceremony and reception, they seemed to vanish, but were seen popping their cameras around corners and capturing every moment, from afar. They really worked hard to be a part of everything without getting underfoot! I have had multiple people tell me how they didn't even realize they were there until the flash went off!
I cannot wait to get the photos back, from looking at his portfolio in our first meeting, I know that they will be beautiful memories of our special day.
Working with Mayowa has been outstanding. He is always prompt in his replies to every text, phone call or e-mail, even fielding messages from multiple people other than just me! He is very reassuring with his timeline and has even sent us an exit e-mail letting us know when to expect his work.
I am so glad that we chose him as our photographer - he was definitely the perfect one for the job. If you are looking for a photographer that focuses on his art and doesn't add to the chaos that is planning or having a wedding, choose Mayowa, he's awesome!

1/8/2015 - Mayowa and his team were phenomenal. Our wedding was super last minute and things were beyond hectic. At every step of the planning process (in my case, less than 6 weeks), Mayowa kept us informed and updated as well as worked with us in trying to decide a package AND stay within budget. On the big day, I hardly noticed him and his team. Our wedding was held at a friend's home in Colesville, MD and everything was to be shot outside. However, the weather was uncooperative and the reception was moved inside. No matter though...Mayowa and his team immediately adjusted and everything went smoothly without any problems! They blended in well and were not intrusive. All of our guests loved how friendly they were--it really did feel like they were also a part of this tight knit family celebration.
I am beyond thrilled with his work (great artistic eye) and will definitely be calling on his services in the future. It was a pleasure working with Mayowa and Mojo Studios!!!

Our original wedding photographer backed out about 5 weeks before our wedding so we needed to find someone fast. I've never used thumbtack before but I'm happy we did! We received quotes back and reviewed each of the photographers websites and decided to go with Mojo Weddings. Nate was our photographer and was professional, pleasant and a happy addition to our wedding day. He took direction when we had specific photos we wanted taken and also snapped a lot of photos before I even had to ask if he could take the shot! He wasn't overbearing and in the way as I've seen many photographers at weddings before, he pretty much blended in with the guests and moved around throughout the day. I'm very happy with the photos they have sent so far and can't wait to see the rest of them! I would recommend using Mojo Weddings to anyone in need of a wedding photographer. Thanks!
