Smoot Electric Company
About this pro
Jeffery Smoot of Smoot Electric Company did an absolute amazing job placing recessed lighting in my living room and hallways. We were so impressed we also hired him to install an outlet behind 2 TVs, mount them and conceal all the wires in the wall. He definitely went above and beyond. I would highly recommend him to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to hire him for any additional electric work.Mar 22, 2017Verified
Jeff came over and diagnosed and completed the job within one hour, and charged a reasonable price. He was very friendly and reasonable. I would use him again.Dec 28, 2016Verified
I hired Jeff to install new recessed lighting in kitchen, breakfast room and dining room. I also had him install new light fixtures, ceiling fans, and various outlet updates, etc. Jeff did an amazing job! He was super efficient, extremely reliable, and just seemed like an overall great guy. I still have a few things for Jeff to do, but waiting on contractor to finish up before I can proceed. If you're fortunate enough to have Jeff respond to your request, hire him. You'll be glad you did!May 13, 2016Verified

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?A master electrician is required to do continuing education to remain licensed. On top of that, I attend courses in areas other than the code to stay up to par on new technology.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was once a helper for a flooring installer years ago. My boss at the time asked me to remove a floor outlet to allow us to cut in the floor. I was shocked by the outlet and I said "how can anyone be an electrician?" Before I knew, being eager to learn, I started my electrical apprenticeship.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? This profession requires a lot of thorough training to understand how and why things work. We electricians everyday need to look back in our code books to remind us of the ever-changing codes we are required to follow, so please bare with us :)
