In summary, Jocelyn is a pro. I worked with Moving Forward to organize and pack up for a move. I notified her that I wanted the organization to be suitable for frequent moves, and as such, requested a practical, lightweight, and portable solution. In the actual sessions, I provided no concrete direction, only a couple of preferences. Each time, she took my preferences and improvised with the storage cases I already had, and created a system that would keep me organized long term. To say that I am impressed with her is an understatement. Her craft of organizing is intuitive and creative that I found no point in instructing her on how things should be organized. She took my goal and delivered on an organized solution that I could have not come up with myself. I am so grateful to have worked with her organization.

Jocelyn and her assistant came in and whipped my closet into shape in no time at all. They did a terrific job and were so pleasant to work with. I hope to maintain the storage system Jocelyn created … it is so neat and attractive. I plan to use Jocelyn’s talents again in the near future as I clean out closets and better organize my home. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have Jocelyn! We were moving from our apartment to our new place .She helped us declutter and looked for places we can donate the stuff we didn’t use nor needed.I had a hard time letting go but Jocelyn was patience and help me through the process. She also help me organize and pack my boxes so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed when I got to my new place. She made our moving process stress-free. She was responsive to all the questions I had. She took her time to really understand exactly what I wanted and her price are reasonable. My place looks so clean and organized! Thank you for all your help!

Jocelyn came to our residence and provided a free estimate to reorganize and declutter our kitchen and living room. She explained the process of how she was going do it, recommended items to purchase, and allowed me to ask endless questions during this time. She never pressured me to purchase anything but explained the pros and cons of each recommended item. I purchased them myself so I know she received no financial gains from her recommendations, but worked around me, my budget, and personal style. The Moving Forward team came in to implement the job. We worked side by side, which is what I wanted and she welcomed me to do so. She taught me how to purge and organize along the way. I found items I had been looking for for months! And purged a huge amount. Not only does looking at my new living room and kitchen provide releif, but I now know where eveything is! I was able to use the skills she taught me to purge and organize my bathroom as well!

I had a walk-in closet that I could no longer walk into, due to the volume of clothing, shoes and other items I stored in there. I called in Jocelyn and Moving Forward to help me declutter and organize the closet. Jocelyn did an amazing job! She emptied the closet and we reviewed all the random items I had gathered over the years. I found clothes and shoes I had not seen in years and forgot I owned. Jocelyn helped me discard items and determine which we could sell or donate. Jocelyn categorized and labeled the remaining items that I had previously stored in the closet in attractive bins. Now, I can store and find all these items quickly and easily. Now, my clothes are organized by occasion and season; so easy to find and mix and match, with coordinating shoes. What a time-saver! Jocelyn was a pleasure and a delight to work with. She was supportive as I decided what to keep or discard. She was kind and patient but efficient in moving the process along. Jocelyn made what I feared would be a daunting project simple and easy to get done. I highly recommend Jocelyn and Moving Forward. I can’t wait to start my next project with Moving Forward . . . the basement!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    We charge an hourly rate of per person. We will provide a more accurate estimate after your initial customized consultation.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    We generally provide an Initial Consultation first. This is a $50 fee that gets credited to your final invocie if booked with us. This allows us to see the space, determine your vision and goals, and helps us create a customized Implementation Plan for you and your project. Alternatively , since we do charge an hourly rate this Initial Consultation can be bypassed, and hours can be purchased as needed.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have a Professional Organizing Certifícate awarded to me in Feb 2020. We are Professional Members of National Association of Specialty and Senior Move Managers (NASMM) since 2021 (Provisional Members since 2021, Professional Members since 2022).
