FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Jewish Weddings and Commercials. For commercials I start with the concept and mold it into something that I feel is funny, effective, different, and will bring you the most money or exposure. The better I do that then the more you'll talk about what I do and it's good for everyone. For weddings, I'm and Orthodox Jew so I know Jewish Weddings quite well. The difference is that I take my knowledge and experience of film making and turn the wedding into that. The typical 3 hour video you're used to seeing is a 40-minute masterpiece where people want to get popcorn and watch it all the way through.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I advise them to speak with me. Feel out who I am because that's going to set the tone for the entire project. If there are several people that are great at what they do but you don't connect with them, you won't have a pleasurable experience and you won't get the best results. It's also important to know that you're looking for something professional and high quality. That means it's not cheap. It's going to be more expensive and take a bit longer than lower end jobs but you get what you pay for in either situation. The next bit of advice is to make sure when you shop around, you're comparing apples to apples. There are people who say they commercials or video and what they've actually shot is more like a horrible used-car commercial. Talk with the provider and look at one or two samples so that you can feel their style.
