Walt and his guys installed a dishwasher and garbage disposal in our tiny kitchen where there had never been ones before. They did everything--cut out a space in the existing cabinet for the dishwasher, wired everything back to the electrical panel, did the plumbing, etc, and fixed a recently-discovered leak in our sink drain while they were at it! They were totally professional, did great work, and were super flexible as we were trying to get the work done as close to our move-in date as possible!
The 5th Genration Group recently did a minor renovation on our condo; the quality of the drywall and finishing work was excellent. The staff was neat and professional. The group also did an outstanding ceramic tile installation on an existing fireplace. We will definitely work with them in the future.
I created a project to have some outside floodlight fixtures repaired because new lights weren't powering on. Rodney was no muss, no fuss. He arrived on time, actually hours earlier than estimated within the time frame because I wasn't working that day. He worked cooly, calmly, and collectively with intention rather than lallygagging around; neither slowly or hurriedly. Fixed the problem and explained what it was, without any attempt to overstate the problem, add unnecessary time to the clock, or up sell services or cost to repair. Though skilled at what he does, he spoke plainly and simply so that I could understand what the problem was, which he quickly troubleshot and immediately diagnosed. Pricing was very fair, hourly, but he fixed the problem under an hour, but estimated before arrival that resolution shouldn't extend beyond two hours. Confidence, I like that. Long story short: I tipped him closer to two hours which comments on the fairness of his pricing and the satisfaction of his results. Even when one's satisfied with a resolution but feels the repair costs were necessarily expensive or more costly than they should be, one never, ever tips. So would I hire him again? Of course: He's my new permanent electrician. Thanks!
I hired Antonio (Tony) Sanchez from Renaissance Restoration to complete a kitchen renovation this past fall (sorry I did not get around to completing this review sooner!). I did all the demolition, but the job included lights and electrical, plumbing repair, cabinet and counter top install, appliance install, and painting. Tony gave a very reasonable estimate and personally worked on my project with his assistant from start to finish as opposed to having one of his employees complete the job. As he began the job, he soon realized that virtually nothing from the original construction was square (townhouse was built in 1987). However, that did not phase him as he had the skills to adjust making those imperfections unnoticeable in the end. In addition, Tony has skills in most of the trades which meant that he did not have to sub different parts of the job out; he did all the electrical, plumbing and carpentry himself. The best part of my experience working with Tony was that he discussed and explained different options or ways of completing a task to ensure there were no surprises, and I was impressed with his willingness to even teach me a little along the way. He was flexible in allowing me to have a friend install the tile floor and was understanding of my need to stick to a rather tight budget. There are only two comments I could make for overall improvement: cleanliness and timeliness. On a couple of occasions, I had to discard empty food containers and drinks that had been left behind. I attributed this to oversight and could be easily improved by making an effort to clean up the work site after each day of work. Considering it was not a space I was using though, it was not that big of a deal. As for timeliness, the project took longer than expected to complete. However, I know that my involvement did have some impact on the schedule and the fact he was doing the work himself while still managing other jobs is a factor. I would not hesitate to bring Tony in for another project in the future. I am completely satisfied with his work and would recommend him to anyone.
I am totally satisfied with my solar it was installed on time and the people are awesome. My salesman has been there from start to end and is all ways there when I have a question. The savings with the solar has been great....
Our dishwasher was broken. It was not draining. I called them and they sent out a repair person the next day. They repair person arrived on time. The repair person charged $49 to come out. And $100 to fix the dishwasher which had a clog and it grease stuck in the drainage tubes not allowing it to drain properly. I am very happy with their service and will call them again so that any of our electronic plumbing and HVAC sort of things break. They also take credit card so I just sometimes rare when dealing with thumbtack providers.
Paul always does a great job for us. He is reasonably priced and he figures out ways for us to save money and install things ourselves. He's saved us $10,000 in repairs. My husband and I recommend him to everyone we know and they all are so thankful for him as well. We will always use him for our future projects. Our most recent project he completed was LED Light Fixtures in high ceilings at our church.
Sam was professional in her pre-meeting communications and showed up ready to roll. She created new doors to cover my utility boxes in the basement and used parts from the existing doors to create a uniform look with the rest of the space. She also repaired a broken kitchen drawer that now works better than it has for years. I also like that Sam works with middle school students on work study programs to teach them trades. Highly recommended!
Gary is great to work with, his guys sealed a window did some repair and painted it looks great

I have very comparable rates, give military discounts and much more. I have pics and references of recent jobs if interested.
I recently hired Matt for some electrical work. He was knowledgeable at the task and completed the job in just a few hours. I found it very helpful that his quote was the cheapest as well as it being flat rate. He was responsive prior to the job and I was very pleased he showed up on time.

Mark did a great job with my curtains/rods and light fixtures installation. Some of the light fixtures and curtain rods were challenging to install but he did a great job for very reasonable price. Even in bad weather he was prompt and finished his job. Would definitely hire him again.
