We have a small, traditonal Colonial and had a basic plan in mind for opening up the living & dining rooms and adding recess lighting. We wanted a critical eye before spending money and needed help with pulling it all together in terms of colors, style, and vendor resources. Sherry helped us by providing feedback to our plan and opening our eyes up to ideas. She was very easy to work with and respected our budget limits regarding her time. We are very pleased with our furniture choices (we ended up being more modern than traditional), paint colors, granite counter, tile, wall paper, & cabinets. Sherry helped us see how each part of the project fit together. She also incorporated some of our old peices into the new design. Demolition started in April and project was completed by end of summer, when furniture was delivered. We still need a few more accents, but Sherry gave us the confidence to find them on our own. We would recommend Sherry and would call on her if we decide to re-do another room.

Sherry with Design Accomplished helped me with the decorating of my home on 3 separate occasions. She assisted with color selection for painting of walls as well as shopping for the right furniture and wall decor for my needs. We selected furniture and colors I would probably never have picked, but look great together and fit my personality. I left my trust in her to select items I needed without me being with her, because of my busy schedule. I would highly recommend her for future design needs.

We have worked with Sherry for several Interior Design jobs within our home for over 5 years now. She has helped us pick new warmer colors and has redesigned 4 different rooms in our home. We have lived here for 10 years now and finally have a sense of overall ambience that we feel was lacking before her professional help. I've been associated with Design Accomplished for 4 years. Sherry, Julie and their professional, courteous crew remodeled my kitchen in July 2011 and my bathroom in Dec 2011. The kitchen has new cabinets, a backsplash and a great paint job. My bathroom has a new floor, new wall tiles around the shower, a new vanity, shelves and storage cabinets and another great paint job. Each job took about 5 days. I love their work and will gladly recommend them to friends and family!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are $90/hr in general for shopping, color consultation, organizing and decorating. However I do have a flat fee for 3D space plans of $500/room. When a customer asks me to do an installation (arranging furniture, laying out rugs, hanging artwork or window treatments) I have a day rate of $400/day even if it takes me 8 hours to get the job done.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been designing my entire career in one form or another. I never had any other ambitions but to create beauty whether it was a brochure, a closet, a room or a built in.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Color consultation and space planning in 3D are among the most cost effective ways to work together. With this information you will be able to fill in the blanks and create a room of your dreams.
