Introduction: I have over 10 years of teaching experience at the high school, college and private studio levels and teach a wide range of styles, including Classical, Musical Theater, Pop, Folk, Opera, R/B, etc. I spend a lot of time working on the technical aspects of the voice and the body. Mark was great! I went into my first lesson hoping to get a better understanding of the technicalities and anatomy of singing, and he was very knowledgeable of both. His teaching method allows for feedback from the student both on how they feel about their performance and what they actually want to learn, which is fantastic.

I've really enjoyed working with Mark. I had a lot of opera experience as a teenager and I wanted to dabble in it again as an adult. He has been a wonderful technical teacher with a lot of unique exercises to help you understand the strengths and weaknesses of your voice. He has a GREAT collection of music and is happy to let you sing the things you enjoy.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are $60/hour and $35/half-hour. It is recommended that you take lessons weekly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Maryland in College Park.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been singing in some way or another since I was in grade school. Teaching voice and performing are two of the greatest joys in my life and I can't imagine doing anything else.
