I’m sorry that you feel disappointed, but I would like to clarify a few important facts for anyone reading this review. Automotive diagnostics is a process of testing and eliminating possible causes based on the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection. A mechanic cannot know in advance what parts have previously been replaced, repaired, or worked on by the owner or someone else unless that information is provided. When I inspected your vehicle, it would not start at all. I followed the proper diagnostic procedure by checking whether fuel was being supplied, checking the fuel pump circuit, fuse, power supply, and the operation of the fuel pump itself. Based on the results available at that time, I explained what I found and what the next steps would be. Some electrical and intermittent problems cannot be identified simply by looking at a vehicle. They require step-by-step testing, especially when the symptoms change during the diagnostic process. I also want to correct an important statement regarding the price. I never quoted or advertised a price of $200–$500 for this service. The agreed amount was $200 for the diagnostic work, which included diagnosing the no-start condition, checking the fuel pump system, removing the fuel pump for testing, and reinstalling it. You were charged $200, not $500. Mentioning a price of up to $500 gives readers an inaccurate impression of what was actually discussed and charged. I have not avoided this situation or refused to communicate with you. I have been available to discuss the vehicle and continue the diagnostic process. I stand behind my work, but diagnostic work does not mean that every possible electrical or intermittent problem can always be identified and repaired in a single visit. I respect every customer’s right to seek a second opinion, but I also believe that a public review should accurately reflect the work that was performed, the amount that was agreed upon, and the amount that was actually charged.
