FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nothing complicated at all. $20 mat fee per class for the occasional training student or $120 per month for unlimited classes for those who have more time to train and want to excell more rapidly. No contracts. I also have a Referral Incentive Program to further reduce your monthly rate. Ask me about it. Just get in here and train. What are you waiting for?
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Students are paired with experienced students so they learn faster and retain more as knowledge is shared more rapidly this way. Advanced students also learn from teaching so this open learning atmosphere is encouraged to help both the novice and the experienced students excell. I never claim to have all of the answers, although I have more than most due to my training in so many arts, but I will do my best to find you the answers. Patience is a virtue and repetition is the mother of all skill but practicing the same moves all the time can get boring. Each class will be different each night to keep students interested and to help them to continue to grow. Just remember that you will learn rapidly but you will not be a black belt in overnight. This takes time and dedication to training. When you see my high ranks there is no doubts that they earned the belt around their waists. Nothing is given as everything is earned. I pride myself in producing high quality and respectful students. If you are a knucklehead or a bully our school is not for you. I do not accept this type of behavior and we will weed you out quickly. We have a great group of guys and girls that train with us and each student is a part of our martial arts family and a valued member of our school.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I train with my instructors, attend seminars, webinars, watch video footage to break down submissions and other techniques, and teach my students where I also learn a lot just from teaching. I'm not one of those instructors that sits down in an office somewhere and leaves it up to my assistant instructors to teach the classes. I am actively out on the mats every night teaching everyone. I am former security police and a Gulf War vet so I am quite aware of what it takes to train people with a realistic approach to their training. With over 40 years martial arts training, earning 14 black belts in different arts, and teaching for nearly 30 years I am quite educated and experienced in the martial arts and have integrity. I'm not an easy instructor but I am a caring one.
