FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bar Sensation does partake in continuing education to stay relevant in the service industry. The owners take management and event planning training classes, and we make sure that all of our staff is TIPs Certified trained. We currently have a TIPs certified instructor on staff to train our staff and others companies who need this certification. Not only that, the goal for this year is to have each team member TAM certified as well. Our Future goals is to provide Serv Safe Instructional Training and Mixology training for our staff and interested parties. These are just some of the ways we plan to keep Bar Sensation Sensational!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into bartending on a whim... I was in college, I was working at a fruit lab (another story!) and I was not making enough money so I thought a waitressing job would help to make some extra $$$. I started waitressing and in a month the head bartender asked if I wanted to be a bartender. I said no ( I was terrified!) the bar was packed and people yelling and they were always busy. So I continued waitressing until my sister fussed me out and told me to at least try. I studied hard, became a bartender and fell in love! I enjoy the customer interaction, fast pace, creativeness, and the money! I love doing what I do which is why after 12 years I still can't stop, and why I started my own bartending company.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs we do for our clients is to provide private bartending services for special events. This includes: Stellar customer service, Set up and break down of bar equiptment to be used for the event, providing non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages to guests, serving table to table if necessary, and helping the host as necessary. We will help the host create shopping lists, specialized menu's to your event's theme and even shop for items to help take the worry out of planning your event!
