Last year, I was hired by a distraught client who was awaiting deportation from a County Jail after an Order of final removal was entered against him by the Immigration Judge. His ICE officer had planned to remove him in 3 days so I requested a removal delay from his ICE officer and proceeded to file a DACA for him. He has a Work Authorization now and currently enrolled in a GED program. He has turned his life around and I am very proud of him. I have handled a lot of cases but get the most inspiration from clients in Abusive relationships; these are the most broken and yet bravest clients I deal with on regular basis. It's always a pleasure to be a part of their success story when their VAWA or U-Visa is approved, a lot have obtained their Green cards and naturalized. They are survivors and I can't be prouder of them. My clients feel comfortable talking to me and I have developed friendships with majority; I have witnessed and heard their struggles and victories. I have supported them through deaths in their families and through births of their children. I feel humbled to be a part of their lives; this brings me joy and gives me a purpose in life.

I hired Attorney Tope for the re-issuance of my Green Card application. Tope applied such analytical skills that saw the application through pretty quickly. The application in the beginning, tried to prove a bit difficult, but Tope exhibited such Tenacious spirit that saw it through with results exceeding my expectations. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a Fixed fee and not an hourly rate. I have a payment plan that is flexible and tailored to ease a client's burden. I usually charge half of the payment upfront before proceeding; the client suggests a suitable payment plan for the remainder.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have free phone consultation with my clients over the phone to have an idea of what their case entails before scheduling them for an in-person consultation.

Temitope Awoyode, Esq. (LL.B, B.L, LL.M) obtained her law degree from University of Ibadan, Nigeria where she finished in the top 10% of her graduating class.
