We recently had a complete kitchen remodel and are very happy with the results. We hired Dennis Gillooly of Trimline Construction as the general contractor. We were on a very tight budget and after pricing the options from a local cabinet supplier, Dennis suggested we look at using Ready to Assemble cabinets instead. He explained the various options and helped us with the design, layout, and ordering of these cabinets from an east coast supplier. This saved us more than 50% vs the original quoted cost from the local supplier! We got really nice cabinets at a fraction of the cost. Dennis put these cabinets together, installed them, helped us pick the perfect handles, installed those as well, and completed all the trim work to make the finished job look wonderful. We love our new kitchen it looks great!
We also previously used Dennis Gillooly to finish our 1,200 sq foot basement. Dennis took care of managing everything including the design, framing, drywall, a full bathroom, kitchenette/bar area, a ton of storage closets including a cedar closet and custom shelving, the big recreation room, enclosed office space, new French doors, cutting in new windows in our concrete walls, and he personally installed 1,200 sq feet of engineered wood flooring throughout. We painted the basement ourselves in order to save money and found Dennis very willing to work with us to make such a large project both affordable but also exactly what we wanted.

This was a tough job that no one wanted - retrofitting a skirtboard to an existing staircase. Dennis Gillooly of Trimline came out to measure the staircase the day after we connected on Thumbtack and the following day he was able get the appropriate materials -- including a 16 foot board to ensure we had a gorgeous finished product -- and complete the job. (This is why I use Thumbtack - the folks you hire want to work and they work hard.)
Dennis was straightforward about the project, is clearly very skilled and knowledgable, and he is easy to have around which is a bonus when you have work done on your home!
He left the worksite as clean as it was when he started.

Dennis was amazing! I would most definitely recommend him. He was very professional, responsive, flexible and his prices are reasonable. I hired Dennis because I needed my microwave installed over my stove, however we ran into a dilemma because my cabinets were too short. Dennis gave me several options on how to handle the problem, but he suggested we do the most cost effective one which was him to move my cabinets up. So he moved all my cabinets up 4 inches so my microwave could fit over the stove. I also had a broken kitchen drawer which he repaired and my dishwasher free of charge. I'm keeping his number stored because I'm sure I will need his services in the future.
