What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions. How much music a DJ has is NOT important. What is important is whether the person you talk to is 1) the person who will be at your event, 2) concerned about your needs, and 3) ready to listen. Be prepared to describe what you want, and see if the person listens to you, or tries to push you into a box. Ask for insurance. Ask how much experience the person has IN YOUR TYPE OF EVENT. A club DJ may or may not make a good wedding entertainer and vice versa. Do you feel like you like the person. IF he or she just rubs you the wrong way, how do you think things are going to work out when they are at a party with you? Your event is YOURs....it should be treated as such.
