Introduction: Hello, my name is George T Sebek. I have been a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep . For years I cleaned/inspected chimneys for a 6-time winning Baltimore's best chimney sweep company. I am happy to continue serving surrounding areas and helping to keep their fireplace/chimney safe and clean. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people each time I set out for a day of cleaning. I have really come to like the challenge of climbing on roofs of all kinds to complete a thorough chimney inspection/cleaning. It keeps things exciting. I enjoy the flexibility of scheduling cleanings while I continue my education in business and volunteer firefighting.

Exactly on time, as indicated in his email confirming the appointment. Careful preparation of area to protect from dirt. Professional, and enthusiastic, actually likes his job. Did some small chimney mortar repairs at no charge. I will recommend George to my friends, and will use him every year from now on.

George was great!! On time, professional, knowledgeable and easy going. We just moved into this house and the previous owners never cleaned the chimney. George took our disgusting looking fireplace and made it look brand new. He didn't try to hard sell us on any additional services and just made us aware of things to keep an eye on. Will definitely be using his company again for any of our chimney needs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
At age 18 my brother in-law notified me of a job opening where he was working and so I applied. I was then hired by Mark&Buttons C/S inc. in February 2008.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would recommend the customer to hire a chimney sweep that has been CSIA certified. CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) offers the best education and certifications to chimney sweeps to ensure each can do the job correctly and professionally.
